to talk velocity
talk about the terms

I'm fueled and I'm packed
and pointed towards the stars

tell me all my options
for gravitational force
and pull up the navigation
to chart a course
maximize infinite distance
from atmospheric friction
ignite this fuel to stop the bleeding
at the source

If given escape velocity,
the object will move away from the other body,
continually slowing,
and will approach zero speed
as the projectile's distance approaches infinity,
never to return.
Speeds higher than escape velocity
retain positive speed at infinite distance.
In other words, it's nice knowing
I'll never see them again
