Down To Earth
04:03
|
|||
all the gypsies believe
in electricity
gettin' high and rolling by
through the galaxy
so many do not know
that this been planned
the people do not know
but the astronauts understand
I've seen a lot of stars
from the moment of my birth
I got my heart and soul
down to earth
well my mind was made up
a long long time ago
and my feet are planted firmly
on the ground
they can't stop me
from making electric sound
no matter what it is
they can't keep me down
I've seen a lot of stars
from the moment of my birth
I got my heart and soul
down to earth

Proxima Centauri B
06:15
|
|||
an exoplanet
in the habitable zone
of proxima centauri
part of the triple star system
viewed with the naked eye
they're the closest stars to our solar system
but don't get too excited
it's more than 4 light years away
but that exoplant
might have oxygen
if the radiation
hasn't ripped the atmosphere away
could it have liquid water
and an atmosphere with oxygen
and maybe it's not tidally locked
we'll have to observe
the state it's in
the red dwarf stars have a lifespan longer
than the age of the universe
I'm thinking observation if they have
photosynthesis
I'm looking towards the sky around centaurus
just south of hydra
near the double star
I wonder if they're lonely just like us
no matter where
no matter where they are
could it have liquid water
and an atmosphere with oxygen
and maybe it's not tidally locked
we'll have to observe the state it's in

The Cosmos Is Expanding
05:45
|
|||
In the beginning of the end
of the universe
as the most distant galaxies
speed away
dark energy is
overcomng gravity
seperating all of space-time
from within
astronomers have known
the cosmos is expanding
the most distant galaxies
just speed away
dark energy increases
as the universe ages
and the universe expands
at a quicker rate
when the milkomedia
is too far to see
the loneliness of space
will seal our fate
astronomers have known
the cosmos is expanding
the most distant galaxies
just speed away

Slightly Broken
05:00
|
|||
I may have lost hope
for a moment there
with my broken dreams
but I will not despair
as I have woken up
and it's so very clear
that this epiphany
is what they fear
i'm not the worst
clearly not the best
just slightly broken
like all the rest
so let our armies be
the rocks and trees
and the birds in the sky
it's been quite long enough
of the reckless abandon
encapsulating you and I
i'm not the worst
clearly not the best
just slightly broken
like all the rest

That Time Is Now
05:09
|
|||
if there ever was a time
that time would be right now
everyone sees it coming
knowing it's going down
I could see it from a mile away
no need to call me on the phone
not a lot there left to say
I can feel it in my bones
we've been scratching tooth and nail
we've been hustling and it shows
of all the misconceptions
Lord knows I feel it in my bones
if there ever was a time
that time would be right now

Sylvania
04:24
|
|||
well Sylvania
I've always told you the truth
about the choices
that I've made
and Sylvania
I try to
sleep at night
and try to rest the voices
in my head
I know I was wrong
letting it go on for far too long
and it's time to step up
and make it right
bursting forth
like a billion exploding stars
igniting the midnight sky
with light
and Sylvania
I've waited my entire life
just to find you
and make it right
and Sylvania
it may be tempting to walk away
but I know in my bones
it's not too late
LET'S GO!
hey Sylvania
it may be tempting to walk away
but I know in my bones
it's not too late
and Sylvania
just so we're clear
I think about you
every moment of every day

Black Hole
06:26
|
|||
well it's all gone now
it ain't ever comin' back
everything has been tried and failed
as it burns through another stack
and it scratches off another name
another marker lost
but it'll add my ship to its black book
no matter what the cost
and I'm pulled down this black hole
but I will not give up
it's on it's way to swallow me
its clearly not had enough
there's no coming back
from everything it stole
but I wave goodbye from a window seat
thinking I'm on a roll
so I'm changing up my game plan
with weapons set to kill
hoping the blast will push me back
and dash without paying the bill
a five finger discount
to make it out alive
sorry to have to leave so soon
after I just arrived
I feel the engines kicking in
pushed closer to the stars
the black hole almost won today
it's reach is just little too far
I gave it everything I had
as gravity takes its toll
tearing everything apart
pulled in the black hole
and I never had a chance
a chance to think it through
pulling me back towards it all
with nothing left to do
I give it everything I have
as gravity takes its toll
tearing everything apart
pulled in the black hole

Indestructible
05:41
|
|||
I got no problem
with the universe
but clearly it's got a problem
with me
sometimes I wonder
if it knows I'm not
indestructible
I dream a lot about
heading to outer space
but the universe
seems to keep me in my place
sometimes I wonder
if it knows I'm not
indestructible
I still wonder if it knows
I'm not indestructible

Escape Velocity
07:32
|
|||
like to take a moment
to talk velocity
talk about the terms
of my release
I'm fueled and I'm packed
and pointed towards the stars
I'm ready to press that button
I'm running late
tell me all my options
for gravitational force
and pull up the navigation
to chart a course
maximize infinite distance
from atmospheric friction
ignite this fuel to stop the bleeding
at the source
If given escape velocity,
the object will move away from the other body,
continually slowing,
and will approach zero speed
as the projectile's distance approaches infinity,
never to return.
Speeds higher than escape velocity
retain positive speed at infinite distance.
In other words, it's nice knowing
I'll never see them again

Blast Out Into Space
05:09
|
|||
I wonder if they know
just how badly
I want to go
we could pack it all into an RV
and blast out into space
ya know
little things like oxygen and radiation
kind of hold us back
our escape velocity will be severely diminished
when the military attacks
I want to blast out into space
I guess we'll stay and do the best we can
looking through a telescope to see ganymede
because I really love the moon and stars at night
maybe that's all
all we really need
little things like oxygen and radiation
kind of hold us back
our escape velocity will be severely diminished
when the military attacks
I want to blast out into space
