Oh, I assure you, like you, I've have, in fact, heard it all. However, as per usual, I'm typically the last to know. Oh, and ask anyone, I also understand that that's the way it will always be.

The joy to be found is knowing that even though one may occasionally date out of their league, and that the other party, because of this imbalance, will likely stray (often timed to the minute), or something else equally cumbersome. Because time itself is a wicked, wicked mistress and age will take hold, there'll inevitably be some chance encounter when the tables have clearly turned, and I, for one, just might enjoy one hearty belly laugh. But probably not.

If we've learned anything from this, it's that vanity is fleeting and what really matters, in the end, is how we treated people, regardless of the wrapping paper.
